Itinerary:
At the chosen time, we will begin the free guided tour of Colmar at the door of the Collegiate Church of San Martín, in the center of the city. During a two-hour tour, we will discover one of the mythical places in Alsace, full of ramparts and houses full of flowers that overlook the canals. We will walk through the typical streets of Colmar while we let ourselves fall in love with the stories and legends that surround the city. Will Colmar be the town where Disney was inspired to set 'Beauty and the Beast'?
Did you know that the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty was born here? The architecture of Colmar will dazzle us at every step we take, for example, with its mansions of the bourgeoisie of craftsmen and merchants of the city. Clear examples of them are the Pfister House and the House of the Heads. In addition, we will walk through Little Venice, one of the most beautiful and well-known neighborhoods. In this neighborhood of Colmar we will discover the wooden frameworks that decorate their houses or the calm and relaxing canals that form the Lauch river.
A fairytale city!
Finally, two hours after starting the tour, we will end the tour by delving into the history of the Colmar Christmas market, one of the most famous in the world.
Meeting point: 10 am in front of the main entrance of the St. Martin Collegiate Cathedral next to the JC Clergue bakery with a red umbrella.
